Common prayer, &c., [ca. 1680-1711].

Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, consisting primarily of extracts from the Bible on such subjects as moral behavior, sin, and repentance. These extracts are followed by excerpts from the Book of Common Prayer, titled "short meditations before Prayer," "Morning Prayer," and "Evening Prayer." The volume concludes with five brief journal entries dated between 1680 and 1711, describing the writer's, and his household's, various escapes from fires by God's "wonderful deliverance."
